Project Description

Known locally as the ‘Gletch’, the Ship Inn is the oldest surviving public house in Greenfield near Holywell.
‘Gletch’ being the name of a water spout coming from an adjacent stream whereby local residents obtained their water.
Formerly a farmhouse and then an abbatoir, the dwelling was subsequently converted into an inn suitable for hosting fine suppers of relatively large numbers.
Ideally situated a stones throw away from the scenic North Wales coastal path and lying just off the A548, the Ship Inn is now known for its excellent standard in traditional pub grub.
Family ran for the past 40 years, this pub welcomes families and individuals, wanderers and locals. The warm and friendly atmosphere continues throughout the bar and lounge, also there is a beer garden where children are welcome to play on the play area.
All the televised sports are available and the pub is currently host to a number of darts teams that have won many trophies. A pool room is also available for use.
Dogs are welcomed in the bar or in the beer garden.
As day turns to night, there is plenty of live entertainment as local musicians regularly play at the venue.
