Created, built and run by us (Nia and Steven) this project has everything poured into it. Our ethos of “explore, experiment, escape” sums up our view of life and also says something of the area. Over-looking one of Wales’ best kept secrets, the Clwydian Mountain Range, and just a short drive to Snowdonia National Park or Bala Lake, it is the ideal place for an escape full of as much (or as little) activity as you’d like. From hiking through the hills, the rush of mountain biking and white water rafting, or even just a gentle stroll through the lush green fields, there is something for everyone.
Our cosy Shepherd’s Hut – handmade by us – is equipped with a comfy pull out double bed and a wood burner for those cold winter nights! Adjacent to the hut is the cute little kitchen which includes a fridge, dual ring induction hob and all the kitchen gadgets needed. We have also supplied a BBQ and a portable gas stove for those who want the real camping experience of outdoor dining. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom which includes an electric shower.
There is a wide variety of things to see and do in this area. From hiking, mountain biking, gentle strolls along the coastal path, sampling local food and drink, enjoying afternoon teas, visiting local farmers’ markets and farm shops, taking in the scenery and visiting our historic villages and towns. For more information on things to do in the area please see our website:

Caban Dan Ser is translated from Welsh into “Hut Under the Stars” and that is exactly what you get. When the night sky is clear, the unspoiled view of the stars (and the occasional shooting star!) is really quite special.
